Project Details
Situated on a partially wooded and sloping 5 acre site overlooking the river, this 1½ story home is designed to fit amongst the existing 130 year old oak trees that dot the site while taking advantage of the sites natural slope and the views of the river below. This 5,900 square foot (not including the look out basement) 5 bedroom, 5 bath custom home is an eclectic mix of Craftsman, Arts and Crafts and Tudor styles, integrated together with an abundance of interior and exterior details.

The primary living spaces, including the Master Suite, are located on the first floor and take advantage of views of the woods and the river. Designed to meet the Owners' long term needs, with wide interior doors and a barrier free master shower for easy accessibility. The abundant use of windows, not only offers breathtaking views of the surroundings, but flood the interior of the home with natural light. Unique to the plan is a large cupola that is situated over the main stairway and which floods the interior of the home with light. At night the homeowners can turn on hidden LED rope lighting and light the windows of the cupola.

The back of the house features a four seasons room with fireplace and kitchen, which both open on to the open terrace and the large family room with cathedral ceiling. Guests of the Owners are treated to a balcony with large decorative brackets that overlooks the river below. Landscaping features include rock outcroppings, a waterfall to a koi pond and a fire pit with seating area.
